Mr. Dee Adcock  

Dee Adcock is known for his big heart and deep conviction for serving those in need in Philadelphia and the surrounding area for more than 35 years. After serving on the board of one of the oldest rescue missions in the country, he joined Life Turning Point of Philadelphia’s board of directors as President to continue his life-long work of helping disenfranchised communities.

 

In 2019, Dee played a huge role in making sure homeless women and children have a place of refuge and safety by purchasing a historical beloved mansion and cottage house where up to ten families receive education, life skills, learn self-sufficiency, experience the love of Jesus Christ; and a place our residents do, in fact, call home.

 

Dee shared, ”We must do everything we can to provide our families with additional education, experience and direction to be able to be self -sufficient and independent, as well as to have a place for moms and their children to learn how to sustain themselves in life. LTP’s inspiration ultimately comes from replicating what Jesus would do in a similar situation. We are happy to be here, able to bless people and be tools for the Lord.”

 

One of the passages of Scripture that inspires him is: 

 

“Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,

    the fruit of the womb a reward.

Like arrows in the hand of a warrior

    are the children of one's youth.” (Ps 127:3-4 ESV)
