A Bridge to Independance
Updated: Sep 29

I believe having apartments to transition into is important because it gives women like me the opportunity to experience independence while still having a safe and supportive environment to turn to. Life Turning Point has helped me grow so much, not only through counseling and money management but also by strengthening my relationship with God.
Having a transitional apartment would allow me to take the things I've learned, and begin applying them to everyday life without feeling like I have to figure everything out on my own. The Cottage Project is a beautiful stepping stone between being in the program and fully living independently. It gives women the chance to build confidence, establish stability, and prepare for the next chapter of their lives.
Having the Cottage Project apartments would help me transition at a pace that feels manageable. Knowing that I would still have access to Case management, counseling, staff, and resources would give me reassurance and confidence. I would be able to continue working on my finances, building my confidence, maintaining a home, and balancing my responsibilities as a mother while having people I can turn to when I need guidance.
The Cottage Project would mean so much to me because it would give me the opportunity to make a major step forward without feeling like I have to leave all my support behind.
